Email, anti-spam & acceptable use.

This policy states the rules we apply to every email we send and the standards we hold ourselves to as a sender. It is written to be read alongside our privacy policy and terms of use.

Consent-based sending only No purchased lists Working unsubscribe Last updated · October 2026

1. Scope and who this applies to

This policy applies to all email sent by SourcingGenius LLC (“SourcingGenius”, “we”, “us”) in connection with this website and our procurement and sourcing services, including email sent through third-party delivery infrastructure such as Mailgun / Sinch Email. It applies to transactional and relationship messages and to any commercial or marketing message we may send.

2. Consent: we only email people who asked to hear from us

We send commercial or marketing email only where the recipient has given clear, explicit and provable permission to receive it. Consent is obtained through an affirmative action:

  • An online form or checkbox that is unchecked by default and clearly states what the recipient will receive.
  • An existing business relationship in which the recipient has requested a quotation, enquiry or account contact and would reasonably expect a reply.
  • Where required, a confirmed opt-in (double opt-in) step that verifies the address before any commercial message is sent.

We keep a record of how and when consent was given. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message or by writing to advisory@sourcinggenius.com.

3. What we will never do

  • Send to contact lists that are bought, rented, shared or scraped from third parties.
  • Harvest, guess or generate email addresses, or verify addresses belonging to people who have not opted in.
  • Send email to anyone who has asked us to stop, or continue after an unsubscribe or complaint.
  • Misrepresent who we are, forge headers, or use misleading subject lines or sender names.
  • Send content that is unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or in the prohibited categories listed in section 7.

4. Unsubscribing and message preferences

Every commercial or marketing message we send includes a clear, working unsubscribe link that is easy to find and understand, and a way to manage or reduce the messages you receive. We process unsubscribe requests promptly and in any event within the period required by applicable law (no later than ten business days under the US CAN-SPAM Act). Transactional messages that are necessary to complete a request you made may still be sent, but they carry no marketing content.

5. Accurate sender identification

The “From”, “To” and “Reply-To” fields of our messages accurately identify the sender’s domain and a monitored reply address. Our sending domain is authenticated with SPF and DKIM, and our messages include a valid physical postal address and a link to our privacy policy as required by anti-spam law and by email-provider acceptable-use rules.

6. Message quality and reputation

We send relevant, expected email to engaged recipients and we monitor delivery health. We aim to stay well inside accepted industry thresholds — low bounce, complaint and block rates — and we act on complaints by investigating and, where appropriate, removing the recipient from further sending. We do not use shared or free delivery resources in a way that interferes with other senders.

7. Prohibited content and conduct

We do not send, and will not use any email service to promote or distribute, content that:

  • Breaches any applicable law, including data-protection and unsolicited-message laws.
  • Conceals or misreports sender or transmission information.
  • Is illegal, deceptive, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, hateful or harassing.
  • Relates to payday lending, unlicensed gambling, deceptive affiliate schemes, chain letters or pyramid schemes.
  • Exploits or endangers minors, incites violence, or threatens public safety.
  • Is otherwise malicious or intended to mislead the recipient.

8. Reporting abuse

If you believe you have received email from us that you did not consent to, or that breaches this policy, please tell us. Forward the message to advisory@sourcinggenius.com with the subject line “abuse” and we will investigate and respond. You can also reach us by post at 200 Park Avenue, Suite 1700, New York, NY 10166, United States.

9. Our commitments to our email provider

We use third-party email delivery infrastructure strictly in line with its acceptable-use policy. In particular we send only to recipients who have consented, we do not use the platform to verify purchased or third-party lists or to harvest addresses, we maintain one account per platform unless the provider agrees otherwise, and we keep our sending within agreed limits. We will cooperate with any lawful investigation into misuse of the service.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The current version is always this page, dated above. Questions about this policy can be sent to advisory@sourcinggenius.com.
